Custom wood and metal table tops and bases
Osteria 100
Point Park University
barn wood tables
2012

I designed and built three styles of tables for Osteria 100 located on the campus of Point Park University in downtown Pittsburgh, PA. I worked with Desmone Architects, the firm which designed the new restaurant, to help find the right color and style for their client. The owners wanted aged sun bleached barn wood but needed the ability to keep the tables clean. In order to keep the color of the wood, in encased the wood below almost an 1/8" of clear epoxy. The edges are made of metal frame which I welded around each top. I also designed the bases. Both the table edge and base were treated with patina.
